BOOKING INFORMATION, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES

The safety of our guests remains our top priority and Molas Lake Campground management will continue to closely follow CDC guidance and when applicable all local, state and federal health orders for our operations. We ask that all guests strictly follow campground guidelines and assist in doing their part to keep Molas Lake Campground safe and open!

 
 

Reservations for the current year open January 1. You may reserve a specific Campsite #. The campground is open approximately 6/1 - 9/30, weather permitting.

 

Note for returning campers: Beginning in 2019 some campsites have been renumbered! We know our returning campers might have favorite campsites. Please refer to the updated Campground Map on our website and the cross-reference table at the end of the updated Individual Site Descriptions to find the new 2019 Site #.

When booking, select by Camping Dates & Site # to view availability. PLEASE BE FLEXIBLE! If your stay is longer than a certain site is available, we encourage you to make multiple reservations and switch sites for a longer stay.

Reservation Policies:

  • The campground is open from approximately June 1 to September 30 each year, weather permitting.

     
  • No swimming is allowed in Molas Lake.

     
  • Pets are welcome. All dogs must be on-leash and attended at all times.

     
  • Check-In: 1:00 PM. Check-Out: 11:00 AM. For late arrival arrangements, If you plan on arriving after 7:00PM, your site number and last name will be listed and marked on a map on the front door of the office. Just come back in the morning to grab your paperwork! All campsites must be vacated by 11:00 AM on check-out day.

     
  • Minimum check-in age is 18 years old. Guests aged 17 years old and under at the time of check-in are considered children. At least one adult (person at least 18 years old) must be in your party and present at check-in.

     
  • Maximum number of guests per campsite is 8 (if you have more, reserve more than one site).

     
  • Maximum number of tents per campsite is 2 (if you have more, reserve more than one site).

     
  • Maximum number of vehicles per campsite is 2 (if you have more, reserve more than one site).

     
  • For groups of 15 or more, please Email Us for group site information.

     
  • All reservations and drive‐in campers MUST STOP at the OFFICE before entering the campground and check‐in with the Camp Host.

     
  • Our online reservation system allows campers to reserve a campsite, by Campsite #* within their chosen site TYPE (category). Please visit our Campsites or Reservations webpages to view the downloadable Campground Map and Individual Site Descriptions.

     
  • If your stay is longer than a certain campsite is available, we encourage you to make multiple reservations and switch sites.

     
  • There is no internet connectivity and limited cell service within the campground.

     
  • Firewood is available for sale from the Camp Host. Due to ecological concerns and the appearance of invasive species, campers are strictly prohibited from bringing firewood from out‐of‐state.

     
  • Hot water shower facilities are available for $5.00 per person, per each use. Shower availability is not guaranteed from September 15 to the close of the season.

     
  • Generators must be reasonably quiet and are ONLY ALLOWED in the Standard RV (Rock Cliff Area) Sites and Lake‐ View Ultra RV & Lake‐View Small RV Sites during the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

     
  • Reservations are highly recommended, but not required. If you arrive without a reservation, the campground management will make every effort to place you at a site, subject to availability and existing reservations. Note, we normally sell out from mid-June to late August - book early. Our online reservation system opens on January 1st, with most summer reservations being booked prior to the campground opening.

     
  • During the 4th of July & Labor Day Holiday period, prices are increased by 50%. If you have not made a reservation, please save yourself a trip: Molas Lake Campground is guaranteed to be at capacity during these times.The Silverton Colorado Chamber of Commerce website has more information about lodging or camping options during the July 4th and Labor Day holiday periods within the Town of Silverton.

     
  • Credit Card charges will appear as "Molas Lake Campground" on your statement.

     

     

Booking, Cancellation, & Refund Policies:

  • * PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - OUR CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES CHANGED starting the 2022 camping season. By making a reservation, you agree to all Molas Lake Campground policies. You must read our UPDATED RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICIES before making a reservation.

     
  • * If the Town of Silverton cancels your reservation due to COVID-19: there will be a 100% refund.

    * If you cancel your reservation:
    1) No refunds for any cancellations that are after 90 days of creating your reservation;
    2) If your cancellation date is less than 90 days from the date the reservation was created and at least 7 days before your arrival date, we will issue a 50% refund;
    3) There will be no refunds for any cancellations that are less than 7 days before your arrival date;
    4) Refunds will be made to the credit card used to book the reservation.
    * To cancel or change your reservation, please Email Us (info@molaslake.com) and specify that you booked your reservation online with the reservation identification code.

    * PLEASE be sure you booked an appropriate campsite for what you are bringing. IF YOU INCORRECTLY BOOK A CAMPSITE THAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE WE ARE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE A DIFFERENT CAMPSITE AT CHECK-IN - we do sell out for most of the summer.
